BIOSOLIDS (DRY SLUDGE) SPREADING
The City of Wayne is accepting offers from contractors/farmers to spread biosolids (dry sludge) on the Wayne Airport farm ground (approximately 80 acres). The City will provide all material to the site as well as provide a loader and labor to load the spreader(s). The contractor/farmer will only be responsible for applying the sludge.
The City anticipates 1,500-2,000 tons of sludge to spread. Up to 25 tons of sludge can be spread per acre. Once spreading commences the City expects the spreading to be completed within 10 working days. Please make offers based on an hourly rate, with only spreaders of 15 tons or larger to be used. The City needs the sludge to be spread as soon as possible (early Fall 2020), so timeliness will be a factor in accepting any offer. Offers will be reviewed immediately and the process will close once a contractor/farmer has been selected.
Contractor/farmer agrees to provide an insurance certificate naming the City as an additional insured and to waive rights of subrogation. The City of Wayne reserves the right to reject any or all offers and to waive informalities and irregularities in the process.
