[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian Trail Closed Under Hwy 15 Bridge

The City of Wayne is closing the pedestrian trail immediately from Victor Park east to Roosevelt Park where it goes under the bridge on Highway 15. The headwall has given way and water is undermining the concrete slabs going up both slopes east of the bridge.The State of Nebraska has looked at the bridge and feels it is safe for highway traffic at this time. Please make sure your children are aware they should not be down in this area under any circumstances. This is a very dangerous situation.
