ADVERTISEMENT FOR ROOFING BIDS

COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTER

The City of Wayne will be accepting sealed bids for a roofing project/replacement at the Wayne Community Activity Center (CAC) located at 901 West 7th Street, Wayne, Nebraska.

Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

Bids may also be emailed to or submitted in person at city offices located at 306 Pearl Street.

The following specifications should be used when submitting the bid:

  1. Project shall be completed by June 1, 2025
  2. Carefully remove all existing gutters and downspouts. Coordinate a location with the City of Wayne to store and protect removed materials during construction operations and then reinstall gutters and downspouts in coordination with the new roof system and adjust elevation of gutter as needed to match the new top of roof elevation.
  3. Furnish and install Class A Poly ISO between flutes, cut to fit. (No EPS)
  4. Furnish and install 120 PSI HD cover board to be fastened to deck over ISO board. (FM 1-90 Attachment)
  5. Furnish and install one layer of 60 mil TPO (purlin inseam rhino bond).
  6. All purlins 5' OC must be attached to FM 1-90.
  7. Contractor shall provide all necessary trim, fasteners, and miscellaneous accessories as required to provide a weather tight system and achieve a 20-year manufacture warranty. Approved roofing manufactures are Elevate and Carlise only. No substitutions are allowed.
  8. The City will provide low voltage disconnects. Electrical conduit is up next to or in the purlin. No costs to roofing contractor.
  9. Site shall be left clean of debris and other construction materials upon project completion.
  10. Contractor shall be responsible to repair any damage to the existing building and grounds that are caused by construction operations. This includes, but is not limited to, any ruts in existing grass areas that are caused by lift equipment or damage to existing pavements and sidewalks.
  11. Contractor shall provide a liability insurance policy in the amount of $1 million, listing the City as an additional insured and waiving subrogation.
  12. Contractor shall submit a bid bond along with a performance bond.
  13. Contractor shall self-perform work; no subcontracting to other companies.
  14. Contractor shall provide a list of past projects of same size and scope.
