Swimming Pool

The Wayne Aquatic Center and Swimming Pool was built in 2016 after voters approved a bond issue to pay for construction. The Aquatic Center features:

  • a six-lane pool of regulation dimensions capable of hosting competitive swim meets
  • a water slide
  • low and high diving boards
  • Zero entry with a splash area for small children, including a play features such as a splash dome

The 2023 operating dates of the Wayne Aquatic Center are May 27th through September 4th (tentatively). Hours are:

6:00-7:00 am - Adult Lap Swim
12:00-12:45 pm - Adult Lap Swim
1:00-5:00 pm - Public Swim
5:00-6:00 pm - Adult Lap Swim
6:00-7:00 pm - Family Swim
7:00-9:00 pm - Public Swim

12:00-12:45 pm - Adult Lap Swim (Saturday only)
1:00-5:00 pm - Public Swim
6:00-7:00 pm - Family Swim
7:00-9:00 pm - Public Swim

Check the Aquatic Center's Facebook page for closures or time changes throughout the season due to weather or other circumstances. Notices will also be announced on KTCH radio station (104.9 FM, 1590 AM).


Fees for the 2023 swim season are as follows:

Family Season Pass

Family +1 Pass (family plus babysitter, grandparent, etc.)

Individual Season Pass

Senior Citizen Pass

Daily Admission Fees
Age 13 and Over: $5
Ages 3-12: $4
Non-Swim Fee: $1

Private Party Rentals
There is a minimum fee of $100 per hour. Parties must take place before or after regular pool hours. Please call the Wayne Community Activity Center/Aquatic Center at 402-375-4803 to inquire. 

The pool will close, or be closed due to any of the following:

  • the air temperature is at 65 degrees or lower
  • due to inclement weather either be determination of the Pool Manager or the National Weather Service
  • at 6 pm on the 4th of July
  • at 6 pm during the Wayne County Fair (July 25-28, 2019)
