How do I get a WPL Library Card?
I live in Wayne County & I am over 19
Bring a photo ID and proof of address to the circulation desk and a staff person will get you registered.
- Proof of address accepted:
- Driver's license
- Recently delivered mail
- Utilities hook up
- Lease agreement
- Recent shipping confirmation
I live in Wayne County & I am under 19
A parent/guardian will have to be present while registering for a library card. Parent will need to bring a photo ID and proof of address to the circulation desk and a staff person will get you registered.

- Children who live outside of Wayne County but attend Wayne Community Schools, St. Mary’s Catholic School may have an account free of charge by showing their current school schedule or report card. Will need to be shown each year to renew status.
I live outside of Wayne County & I am over 19
Cards for non-county residents have a yearly fee. $35 for a single card or $50 for a family account that has multiple cards. Bring a photo ID and proof of address to the circulation desk and a staff person will get you registered.

Bring a college ID and proof of address to the circulation desk and a staff person will get you registered. There is no cost for a library card for Wayne State College students
